Account Coordinator

Job Summary

The agency account coordinator provides administrative and customer service support to account executives and head of the department. They assist in the day-to-day administration of marketing and advertising initiatives to attract potential customers and retain existing ones for the agency’s clients. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness with client activities, detail-oriented program and project management and professional communication with key client contacts as needed. While the majority amount of time will be spent on the administration side of the account business, this is a steppingstone to the many duties of an account executive.

Typical Duties

Preparing account service-related documents such as meeting agendas, meeting reports, proposals and other client communications and correspondence.

  • Participating in and documenting discussions during client meetings and conference calls.
  • Reviewing vendor quotes.
  • Verifying production specs.
  • Creating and/or providing feedback on project estimates and timelines.
  • Fielding and processing internal information requests.
  • Reviewing client creative to ensure accuracy
  • Maintaining current work-in-progress records

Expectations

The daily duties and responsibilities of an agency account coordinator include:

  • Knowing their clients and their industries.
  • Developing and maintaining a working-level understanding of assigned client’s industries, company culture, products/services and strategic communication plan.
  • Proactively communicating with clients daily in a professional, efficient manner.
  • Attending the needs of the client and continually seeking ways to add value to the client-agency relationship.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field
